A quick and inexpensive resource to make to encourage children to blend sounds together to form words. I would start by getting children to identify the sounds and practise blending them together on the side with just the letters showing. They can then lift the flaps in order from left to right, again saying the sounds, to reveal the pictures and check whether they were correct. If your child is struggling with blending one of the things you can try is starting the word with continuous consonant

Fun Blending Sounds Activity!Save this idea to help kids practice blending sounds to form words. Write the beginning sound on the left cloud and the ending sound on the right cloud. Vowels go in the middle. Encourage continuous blending as they say the sounds together. Once they blend the word, have them write it at the bottom.
