Eight Exclusive Use Helicopters funded by the Governor’s budget to increase surge capacity for wildland fire emergency response were assigned to the #OakFire in Mariposa County. These additional aircraft aid in our statewide firefighting response and augment our already robust aerial firefighting fleet. In total, more than 22 helicopters were assigned to the Oak Fire, including the CAL FIRE Hawk that flew night missions. | CAL FIRE
