On Feb 19, Supervising Animal Control Officer Mark Byrnes and Animal Control Officer Chris Breiner responded to the scene of a deer in need of rescue in a construction site in in one of our towns. Overnight, the deer had managed to trap herself in an unfinished foundation with no way out. As you can see from the video, the panicked animal was secured without injury or use of tranquilizers and then was lifted out of the foundation and safely released into the nearby woods.
